Piano Workshop

Today, I had the opportunity to play my Claire de Lune and Chopin Nocturne No. 19 in the Mary Jane's workshop. I was quite nervous, but was able to somehow pull through my pieces. There were a lot of good comments on my playing. I think a lot of what I need to work on is playing in front of people. Also, there was a good suggestion from Mary Jane to play around with pedaling. Overall, it was an interesting experience. I sure need to get over these nerves, but overall, I think my expression on the piano has gone up ten fold from when I started two years ago. In high school, I felt that I didn't really enjoy playing. I just did it because my brothers played piano and violin. I didn't really understand the joys of playing, but now I'm finding something that really is starting to hit deeply inside my heart.
