I swear the UFO games (the claw games where you try your luck trying to grab the prize with the claw) in Japan are too addicting... There are just too many prizes I want and they're all really hard to get. I really don't know how much money was wasted on this, but somehow, there's some weird happiness winning these items that I probably don't know where else I'd find them in Japan. Man, I so know that I'm gonna get killed when I go back home... *runs and hides*
EDIT: I tried looking for these prizes online, and they don't seem to be sold anywhere else. I kind of wish I knew the original start value, but then again, I don't because a chunk of money went into getting these prizes... >.>;;
Tarepanda! ^_^ Well first, I hope you're feeling better since you were sick (several posts earlier). It's hard typing up so many comments when I have to do a word-veri for every single one (though it does help out with the spam issue).
ReplyDeleteSecond, yes UFO game machines are both addicting and spendy =_= that's why I tell myself to stay away from them 'cause I'll probably latch on and gamble away my fortune. But I can see how they'll suck you in at the ones in Japan ^_^ Those little stuffed critters are so cute~
Third, I didn't watch the Olympics opening ceremony until two days after (Beijing-wise) 'cause I actually didn't have much interest to start with, and two 'cause I forgot about it lol. Thankfully, my dad taped it so we watched it together Saturday night over here. It was very impressive indeed ^_^ No other ceremony will be able to do it like the way it was done in Beijing, mostly 'cause of lacking in numbers of population ^_^; but that's my opinion.
Anyway, hoping things are going well and school's good. I've recently picked up Pride & Prejudice and read further than chapter 2 (very impressive for me as I haven't exactly read a book of my own volition since Harry Potter 7 came out). I'm looking forward to finishing it. I think my grammar's really been lacking these past few years due to heavy reading of manga in either bad English or another language, and not much reading in actual English literature =_=; Really need to shape up on it =_=;; *sigh* I probably should finish Catch-22 as well. Never got very far on that one =_=; I need to finish a lot of books in fact lol ^_^;
