My god the show was just amazing!! I got to see it before everyone in the States! :P Plus! It was commercial free! How were the commercials this year in the states?
Some things I was surprised about:
1. Japan athletes were holding both Japanese and Chinese flags
2. Taiwan and Hong Kong are separate entities
3. The costumes were just amazing
4. Us of lighting was just amazing especially at the opening
5. All different types of fans for athletes that had their flags on them. Quite interesting ^^
Well, I'll let everyone watch it for themselves... XD

sick
I somehow caught a nasty viral stomach bug that gave me the worst diarrhea. Luckily, I'm doing better now. Hopefully I'll be completely well by tomorrow! Even though I got sick, I'm still in good spirits. Usually when I get sick like this, it's like the whole world is being nasty to me. I've changed my thinking a lot. I think I'm back to being more positive. It took me a while to realize how the sadness and anger from within myself. Every day, I feel so lucky to be alive. At the time I was depressed, it was so hard to realize how lucky I really was. Every day just seems to get better and better. I'm just lovin' it. Love myself. Love life.
P.S. Sorry for the sentimental stuff. I just have the urge to write them at times. Just a much needed self reflection! (^.^)

Weekend of INSANITY
This weekend, I really don't want to count how much money I've spent... let's just say it was put into good use for... FUN!!!
Well, I met up with a friend from UCSC Japanese class yesterday since I wanted to have some fun. My god, we had so much fun. We walked about Kinshichou for like the entire day. We were originally going to see Naruto, but it wasn't playing at the movie theater that we went to, so we went around the malls. I was able to get a book and a some souvenirs for a friend. We also played at the arcade, and gambled some money away.... I seriously don't remember how much, but it wasn't over $100. Most of the money was spent trying to get the prizes from the machines that you try your luck with the claws. That was so much fun. We definitely got our money's worth there. Though, we couldn't get the cute flying squirrels (because we didn't figure out how to get them). I ended up getting 3 dice, and some other prizes that I split with my friend. I basically treated her to most of the food that day. She kind of broke at the moment because of bank issues, but she said that she's going to pay me back by taking places like San Francisco when we get back to Santa Cruz. Hell, I really don't care about the money. I just care that she had a great time, and we both did! (Uhh, Mom, don't kill me for saying that.... I'll definitely pay you and Dad back once I get my job in Japan!) My day ended with watching the fireworks from Chiba Minato from my balcony. Man it was such a pretty sight!

Well, despite having so much, I met up with the friend from Japanese class and another friend (a guy) also from Japanese 3 class. Man, it was an incredible day. First, the day started off having some takoyaki that my friend made. Man, it was delicious! Then, we went to the arcade to spend more money on gambling, prizes and stuff. I don't remember how much was spent... but shouldn't be more than... $20? Oh! We got to play the drums game. It was so much fun! Except for... the last part, my guy friend found the Lucky Star theme.... Not going to watch Lucky Star at all... It was kind of scary watching him go all fan girly over Lucky Star.... I finally figured out how to get the flying squirrel charms! I won -3- of them! I gave 2 of them to my girl friend since she really loved them. She gave me other prizes as well, so I think it all evened out... (somewhat). Anyway... afterwards, we went shopping for a bit. My guy friend wanted to check out the yukata for guys. It's quite expensive in the mall that we were looking at. I already have mine, which I'm going to be wearing this weekend! Then, I bought a really nice shirt which my friends say I look fantastic in! Then... here's the big shocker of the day... (don't faint Mom...) my girl friend and I went to get our nails done (Oh man, I just know when my mom reads this, I'm going to get an email or phone call from her going, "WHAT THE @#%& WHERE YOU THINKING AND HOW MUCH MONEY DID YOU SPEND?!) Uhh, anyway, I figured that this will be my once in a lifetime thing while I'm here because I'm not going to spend that kind of money when I come back again next year. Plus, I've always wanted to try out long nails and see what it's like to live with them. Let me tell you, it's friggin HARD! Haha. Anyway, it was money well spent (in my opinion) because both my friend and I were extremely ecstatic by how our nails were pampered. My friend told me that in the states, all nails are done by machine or by gluing on pre-made fake nails, but here in Japan, all acrylics are done by scratch. There's no fake nail. Just pure liquid acrylic, which I think is better because I think the risk of the acrylic popping off and leaving holes is lower. The entire process took approximately 3 hours, but we had so much fun feeling girly! My friend got black nails, and I got pink nails. We got two decals... one on each hand. I paid for my friend's acrylics because she doesn't have the money, but in my opinion, money well spent because we had the GREATEST time doing our nails! I'd do it again with her in a heartbeat (with my own money next time of course)! She's probably going to pay me back big time when we get back to Santa Cruz, but I find no need to because we had the best weekend ever. Actually, my friend says it's like the best time of her life, and it just brings me tears of joy when she said something like that. Anyways, time for bed. Had too much excitement for the entire weekend~! Time to get back to serious studying before next weekend where we go... KARAOKEing!! YAYz!!

Insomnia
I can't sleep for some odd reason tonight, so I'll just sit here and blog about my adventures and thoughts that have been going through my head the past few days. There are a lot of important decisions that I will need to make in my life very soon, and I can't get them out of my head. Well, first I'll write about my adventures in Shibuya...
I had the craziest idea to travel to Shibuya on a Wednesday night. I needed some excitement, but I think it was a little too much excitement because I was overwhelmed by the rows and rows of shops and malls. There are tons of malls. It brings back memories of shopping in Taiwan, except I think the variety in Japan is much better than in Taiwan. Anyway, I ended up only eating a nice 30USD dinner of eel, which I really enjoyed. It was huge set dinner. The food in Japan is just amazing!
On Saturday, I went again to Shibuya because I wasn't satisfied with the trip I did on Wed. This time was much better because I actually knew where I was going most of the time. It was still really crazy because there were tons of people walking around, and I was just a small person in the crowd. I managed to get origami paper that I was had no luck finding in Chiba. My biggest find was two CDs that I absolutely adore. The first CD is of Richter playing Fasschingswank aus Wien. It's a brilliant recording. It really makes me want to find a piano here to practice, but it's impossible to find a piano. When I get my own place, hopefully I'll be able to get a nice piano. For right now, I guess I'll just have to live without practicing. The other CD is of Pollini playing Chopin Nocturnes. I swear every time I listen to N. 19, my heart just races. If anyone wants to listen to them, let me know. I've uploaded both of them to mediafire. After buying the CDs, I was just milling around Shibuya trying to see if there were any new clothes that I wanted. I didn't really find any. There weren't any dresses that fit my style. I'm on the hunt for a dress for this winter. I'm pretty sure I'll find something before then... At least I hope so...
Anyway, I have a lot of thoughts on my mind because it's my last year in college, and I have to start planning what I want to do with my life after college. To be honest, I'm quite frustrated by the fact that I don't really know what I want to do. There's one thing that I know I want to do, and that's live in Japan if I can. Now, the tricky part is finding a job that would allow this. I was talking to my cousin about it, but it seems like job opportunities are becoming harder to come by. Also, it's hard to find jobs at my level because I don't have any experience working at all. Most jobs require at least 5 years experience before people would hire them. I'm at a complete loss at how I'm going to go about finding a job. I guess I have a few years to think about it, but I feel like it's just creeping up so fast. Perhaps this is giving me unnecessary stress that I shouldn't be giving myself. I guess I should leave this part of the future to fate because there isn't really anything I can do at the present. I guess I just want everything to be settled with my life. I hate the uncertainty, but I just need to go with the flow.
I will attempt to get some sleep. There are other thoughts on my mind that I want to keep disclosed right now as they involve other people and I wish to discuss with them first. It is a difficult topic, and I really don't know how to go about talking about it... Oh my brain just needs to shut up! Night everyone~ :P

Quick Update
Don't have much time to update because I'm going out again, but I'll give a quick rundown of what I did
Wed: I went to Shibuya! I went at completely the wrong time, wrong place all at once. One, it was rush hour, and two, people got off work, so it was so busy!
Fri: Went to Shibuya again, this time weekend. Got two CDs, a small purse to put in my yukata bag, and about 60 USD worth of chiyogami and origami. Exciting buys!
I'll blog more about it later, but time to get ready to go out again! *chuus*

Origami!
I had the most absolute fun on Sunday, which was spent doing origami with my cousin and her two friends. I had forgotten how much fun it was to do other kinds of origami than doing my usual seashells. I actually hit jackpot today with finding an origami book that I have been wanting for a very long time. The one I bought today was on origami boxes. I have been looking all over the US for this book, but they don't publish this book in English, so now I have a Japanese book on just plain boxes, and I am so excited because now I get to put my presents in these cool boxes! Now, I just need to buy the actual nice paper for the boxes, and I'm all set! I am actually thinking about buying the book for making the ball of flowers, but I'm not sure if I have any use for them yet, so if anyone wants any, just let me know!

Study~
In just two weeks, I feel like I've already learned so much. I'm feeling really happy. I love learning the language, even though at times I feel slightly frustrated because I don't understand, but I'm finally catching on. It's easier for me to hear what people are saying. I hope by the time that I leave, that I'll be able to understand people at least 50% of the time, if not more. Must study very hard! And that means... watching Code Blue on TV tonight!
Miss you guys at home~.
